Ice quality is the result of good ice rink engineering. Many factors need to be addressed to ensure a uniform sheet of quality ice including control of heat loads onto the ice, the design of the refrigerated floor, the refrigeration plant and the resurfacing using specially treated water. Independent specialist advice is central to the design process.
